Joan Casadevall Serra started working as an architect in 1982 developing both new projects and undertaking restoration work.
He has directed a large number of restorations including: Casa dels Velers ("Premio Ciudad de Barcelona" 1986),
restauration of Castell de Cubelles, Iglesia de Sant Celoni, and mural paintings at Hogares Mundet etc.
"Gabinete del Color" have also collaborated on mortar analysis and restoration projects for the
Servicio del Patrimonio Arquitectónico Local de la Diputación de Barcelona: Castillo de
Castelldefels, Palau Güell, Can Mercader en Cornellà, Ayuntamiento del Bruc, etc. National treaties, agreements and
contracts of consistency and technical assistance have been established with distinguished offices of restoration, allowing
the analysis and continuing development of facade restoration in all regions of Spain.
On the international plane, we have designed and co-ordinated programmes of co-operation with various European countries
(Italy, France, Czechoslovakia, Belgium, France, Cuba etc). These projects of traditional restoration have allowed us to widen
and contrast our experience and engage with many other professionals in our field inorder to develop increasingly advanced methods of
investigation.
